The Coen WS-1 warm up gun is a packaged assembly of two widely used standard
components: a Coen type MV (multiple venturi) air or steam atomizing oil
burner and a High Energy Igniter (HEI). Together these units produce a
highly reliable, clean burning warm up burner that requires little maintenance.
The MV oil burner will atomize and fire a variety of fuel oils ranging
from the lightest No. 2 grade to the heaviest No. 6 residual fuel grades.
Alternate WS-1 designs use natural gas in lieu of fuel oil and/or a combination
of gas and oil firing to achieve maximum flexibility.
The WS-1 functions as a Class 1 igniter or stabilizing flame for pulverized
coal and as a warm up gun to 36 million BTU per hour. Larger capacities
also are available.
