Coen Company, Inc. Acquires Electric Power Technologies

COEN Company, Inc. has acquired Electric Power Technologies (EPT), a wholly owned subsidiary and a leader in combustion technology for the utility industry.

EPT is a diversified engineering company that specializes in the upgrading of gas, oil and coal combustion equipment for performance improvements, emissions reductions and increased fuel flexibility. EPT also provides project management and consulting engineering services for evaluation of new or existing technology in the fields of combustion and air emissions control. Principal clients include utility companies, large industrial operations, independent operators of combustion systems and equipment manufacturers. "The synergies created by this transaction will deliver greater value to COEN and EPT customers worldwide," said Robert Carr, General Manager of EPT.

"EPT's performance-improving products and strong engineering talent will complement COEN's existing product offering to the utility industry," said James White, President and CEO of COEN Company. "EPT possesses a loyal and satisfied client base, and we are very excited about welcoming them to the COEN group of companies."

Since 1912, Coen Company has specialized in the design, manufacture, servicing, and maintenance of burner equipment and combustion systems. With over 14,000 installations worldwide, Coen burner equipment and combustion systems provide optimum performance, meeting the needs of the industrial boiler, utility boiler, cogeneration, wood products, pyro-processing, solid fuel, refinery, oil recovery/steam flood, and petrochemical industries.

"The acquisition of EPT greatly expands COEN's capabilities in the utility industry," said James White, President and CEO of COEN Company.
