The Critical Burner Components
Critical Burner Components

In the majority of retrofit applications, these components replace the existing burner flame stabilizers and atomizers, while other burner components are left intact. Retaining as much as possible of the original burner contributes to the cost advantages of REACH technology.

Typical Retrofit Project:

Site Inspection - In conjunction with plant personnel, pertinent design information is obtained and operating and performance improvement goals are defined.

Design and Fabrication - The flame stabilizer design is based on aerodynamic analysis of the burner. REACH oil atomizers are designed with consideration of the existing atomization method and the aerodynamics of the flame stabilizer. Oil atomizers are tested in a spray laboratory to confirm that design specifications are met.

Installation - Plant personnel usually install REACH components during a scheduled maintenance outage.

Start-up - Performance and Environmental Solutions provides on-site technical support, including optimization of the burner settings and evaluation of combustion system operation and boiler control.

Testing - Emissions testing to verify REACH performance or determine optimum combinations of operating parameters may be performed as part of a REACH retrofit.
