The Coen Fyr-Monitor uniquely integrates the combustion control and burner management systems into one self-contained NEMA 4 panel with touch screen interface. This standard system is available in all popular combustion control configurations:

The Coen Fyr-Monitor is a simple, cost effective and complete boiler/burner control package.

Reliable, Rugged & Robust

For combined single point positioning with BMS, the Coen Fyr-Monitor system uses one industrial grade programmable logic controller (PLC) to comply with National Fire Protection Agency (NFPA) requirements. Other control configurations use two independent PLC’s to maintain NFPA compliance and to maximize control system integrity. The first PLC is dedicated to the combustion control and the second provides for the burner management function. If requested, the Fyr-Monitor can be provided as a stand alone combustion control only system in a convenient 24" x 24" x 12" deep panel which is ideal for retrofit installations where space is limited.

State of the Art Touch Screen Display

The Coen Fyr-Monitor system utilizes a state of the art color LCD touch sensitive display for operator interface. The TFT active matrix LCD display has the highest contrast and greatest viewing angle without display washout or fading. The touch screen replaces the need for dedicated selector switches, pushbuttons, indicators and lamps. Adding additional boiler functions is much more cost effective than conventional hardwired operator panels.

• Alarm Status – annunciator display showing current alarm conditions
• Alarm Edit – for editing of pre-alarm set points
• Process, Fuel and Air Trends – real time graphical tracking of measured and set point steam pressure, plus fuel and air flow for metered systems
• Service Access – provides entry into password protected screens intended for service personnel
• Service Parameter – password protected screens that include function curve, rate limiter, control parameter editing, plus full manual control

Retrofit Capability

The Coen Fyr-Monitor combustion control system is designed for easy retrofit on older control systems. When offered as a combined controls and burner management system the Fyr-Monitor is compatible with existing logic and safety devices, piping and external components, and will meet current NFPA requirements for single burner operation. Retrofit systems include new updated equipment documentation to simplify installation.

The Coen Fyr-Monitor is a standard design that is pre-engineered to offer the most reliable cost effective combustion control and burner management system possible.
