The Coen DAZ burner is at the heart of
each Coen solid fuel combustion system. The burner is two registers
in one with concentric louver zones that divide the combustion air
stream into two counter-rotating streams. It burns pulverized coal,
wood fines, biomass, or low BTU gas, with the ability to burn multiple
fuels in combination to reduce operating costs.
Features
The DAZ register is multi-fuel allowing other fuels to be burned in addition to or in combination with the solid biomass fuel.
"Dual Air Zone" with concentric louvers divide the combustion air stream into two counterrotating concentric streams.
By being based on Coen's standard DAZ register, solid fuel performance is similar to the fossil fuels it replaces.
The Adjustable flame pattern is advantageous in fitting industrial furnace configurations, especially tight package boiler furnaces.
Air streams scrub against each other providing a turbulent, controllable mixing action with fuels.
Biomass scroll is designed to allow solid fuels to enter uniformly into an annulus between the two counter-rotating air streams.
Combustion originates well back in the throat of the burner allowing
a hot refractory flame base to be maintained.
