Exemptions:

The above limits do not apply to a unit when burning any non-PUC quality natural gas during periods of gas curtailment provided:

1. The non-PUC quality natural gas fuels are burned no more than 168 cumulative hours in a calendar year, plus 48 hours per calendar year for equipment testing, as limited by the Permit to Operate.
2. NOx emissions shall not exceed 150 ppmv or 0.215 LB/MMBtu. Compliance to be demonstrated by either:
1. Source testing
2. CEMS
3. APCO approved AMS
4. APCO approved portable NOx analyzer

Exempt Equipment:

• Solid fuel fired units
• Dryers and glass melting furnaces
• Kilns and smelters where the products of combustion come into direct contact with the material to be heated.
• Unfired or fired heat recovery boilers that are used to recover or augment heat from the exhaust of combustion turbines or internal combustion engines.
