Fluent was used to compute the combustion flow patterns for a multi-element
duct burner array. The results were used to predict flame length and
to estimate the average temperature into the heat recovery steam generator
(HRSG). |

Lime Recovery Kiln Model
Fluent was used to determine optimum positioning of the kiln burner
and waste gas gun. Flame length and shape are illustrated by the outputs
of the model. |

Gas Cofiring Model
Fluent was used to determine optimum positioning of the gas cofiring
burners. Results were confirmed with field testing. |

Pollutant Formation Model
The Fluent unstructured solver was used to compute NOx
levels in a gas-only research furnace. Results were compared to test
data. |
